Scouting For Food
November is Scouting For Food month. Scouts will be distributing
food donation bags to individual residences within Benicia on Saturday,
November 13th, then returning to pick them up one week later on the
morning of Saturday, November 20th. The collected food will be donated
to a local food bank to help needy families enjoy Thanksgiving and the
coming holidays. Please help by placing non-perishable food stuffs
in the bag provided and leaving it on your porch for pick-up. Scouts
will be picking up bags starting at 9:00 am November 20th, so make
sure you get your bags out early (or the night before)!
Scouting Blood Drive
Venture Crew 73 is sponsoring a Scouting Blood Drive on Saturday,
November 30th between 8:00 am and 12:00 noon. Blood Centers of the
Pacific will be on hand at the Benicia Veteran's Home at 1150 First
Street. Please bring verifiable identification and remember to eat
and drink before donating. Donors will receive a gift!
